$TPIV’s Ready to TAP the Immunology Market

Dear Students

The Dean’s so ecstatic about teaching the CollegeStock Community about $TPIV because it’s more than some biotechnology company—$TPIV‘s developing immunotherapies that fight cancer and have already proven to strengthen the immune system to ward off HIV, Smallpox and other infectious diseases.

Less than a month ago, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) acquired assets and rights to Elan Corporation’s (NYSE: ELN) immunotherapy program for $885 million. Elan’s immunotherapy products proved to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s and has products that treat and prevent other diseases.

What’s so special about this? The Dean thinks a partial buyout like this could be HUGE for a company like $TPIV because they also have technologies which can be applied to a number of deadly and life-threatening diseases.

And the Elan and Johnson & Johnson deal wasn’t the only big deal in the immunotherapy market lately. On September 9, 2009, Immuron (IMC.AX) acquired intellectual property rights for Hadasit’s oral immunotherapies for a 19.99% stake of Immuron—approximately 47 million shares or $3.4 million.

Although this deal was smaller in scale, The Dean thinks it represents the profit potential in $TPIV because companies are realizing that teaming up and combining technologies could put them closer to fighting cancer and infectious diseases.

President Obama’s Recovery Act has received a lot of attention lately because his administration just approved $5 billion worth of medical grants for “cutting-edge medical research.” The Associated Press quotes The White House in saying that this money would be used for “cancer and other diseases” such as “autism, HIV/AIDS, [and] H1N1 Flu.”

The Dean knows that leaves at least $95 billion as part of the government’s stimulus for science and technology—which could mean BIG things for $TPIV and other companies.

The Dean thinks $TPIV is a winner because it’s part of the cancer and vaccine markets. The vaccine market raked in $10 billion in 2007 and is expected to increase by 238% to $23.8 billion within the next year.

And if that doesn’t look GOOD enough for you, the cancer drug market is valued at $75 billion, which is also expected to increase over the next few years to $8o billion—to nearly 4 times the value of the vaccine market for infectious diseases.

Between government funding, cancer therapies and vaccine markets that’s almost $200 billion worth of possibilities for $TPIV. Any questions?
