If you’ve been doing your homework like a good student, you’d know that The Dean’s free stock picks have enabled the CollegeStock Community to make some honorable profits: $VKNG (+3433%), $ZVTK (+504%), $ATNP (+212%), $ALKN (+194%), $UNDT (+103%), $AMNP (+96%), and $MCLN (+94%)—to name a few of many!
Let’s see what these free stock picks can do for the CollegeStock Community:
$CTIC
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTIC) is a biopharmaceutical company that develops, acquires, and commercializes oncology products for cancer treatment. Last Monday, $CTIC announced that the FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee (ODAC) will review the company’s New Drug Application (NDA) for pixantrone for the treatment of relapsed/refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on March 22, 2010. Additionally, $CTIC‘s OPAXIO, used as maintenance therapy ovarian cancer, will continue its Phase III trial with the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). The Dean believes this stock is receiving the right kind of attention for the right reasons and could continue to see volume from traders buying on speculation and potential longs this week.
$SSEV
Systems Evolution, Inc. (OTC: SSEV) is a professional services organization that provides computer software development services, computer network support, and contract staff in the United States. This sub-penny stock recently reduced its shares by 25% and, according to this press release, plans to make a “second reduction” in common shares. Based on an increasing number of posts on InvestorsHub.com, The Dean has reason to believe that $SSEV is gaining popularity and, perhaps, should be on his students’ radars as well.
$HLXW
Helix Wind Corp. (OTC: HLWX.OB) offers distributed power technology platform designed to produce electric energy from the wind. It serves residential, commercial, governmental, educational, industrial, and agricultural sectors, as well as developers, architects, and engineers. Helix Wind markets its products in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Brazil, Aruba, and the Antilles. Last month, $HLXW announced the receipt of $770,000 in financing, which could just be the “capital necessary for Helix to pursue the numerous growth opportunities the company has identified.” Renewable energy is an excitable industry and Mr. T. Boone Pickens discussed wind energy during an interview this past Thursday. Overall, The Dean thinks $HLXW could become gusty because the stock’s currently trading at just 6% of its 52-week high.
$NPDT
Newport Digital Technologies, Inc. (OTC: NPDT) operates as a technology solutions-driven company and focuses on serving 5 emerging businesses in the technology space, including RFID (radio-frequency identification), WiMax, eLearning, Digital Signage and LED Lighting, and Security and Surveillance solutions. Thursday, $NPDT announced the launch of its first leading-edge LED digital signage solution that offers wireless high definition video and audio streaming that is compatible with 3G networks such as AT&T (NYSE: T) and Wi-Fi and WiMax networks. The Dean believes $NPDT has been building momentum, due to promotional efforts of QualityStocks.com (3 million shares, restricted for 6 months) and WallStreetsHottestStocks.com ($10,000), but hasn’t really packed that much of a profitable punch just yet.
$AVII
AVI BioPharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVII) is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of therapeutic products based on antisense and cancer immunotherapy technology. In the past month, $AVII has received an orphan drug designation from European Medicines Agency (EMEA) for AVI-503 and $500,000 in funding to develop drug candidates to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Towards the end of the week, $AVII took a plunge and The Dean believes this company could definitely continue to bounce back.
The Dean wants all of his students to study up for their chances to make the grade this week.
