Swine Flu Stocks Report Card
April 28th, 2009 at 6:39 pm Posted by The DeanBelow you’ll find a report card for my list of swine flu stocks originally profiled in The Dean’s List for Monday 4/27/09. Although the average swine flu stock is still in the money, today was a quiet day for most swine flu plays and the only big winner was Novavax (NVAX). In fact, NVAX is by far the hottest swine flu stock of the peer group and is up 393% since Friday 4/24/09.
One interesting article hinted that politicians in Washington are urging the media to replace the phrase “swine flu” and call it the “H1Ni flu”. It’s actually a very smart move on their part because the H1H1 flu isn’t nearly as contagious. So perhaps the report card below actually grades The Dean’s List of H1Ni flu stocks (not nearly as catchy).
Later this evening I’ll be writing a special report about all the possible ways to profit from H1H1 flu swine flu stocks. Since most of these swine flu plays are very liquid, you can profit from either buying swine flu stocks OR from shorting swine flu stocks.
Some successful traders have chosen the latter and it’s worked out for them so far.

Why worry about swine flu. It’s just another money making opportunity. No one is really going to die.
Brian-
I’m writing about swine flu stocks for this exact reason. Although there may be some casualties and its a horrific situation for the people involved…. I have to keep the “glass-half-full” mentality, and look for the opportunities surrounding the swine flu epidemic.
you’ve got a nice graphic designer BTW
Very nice information. Thanks for this.
