Swine Flu is So Hot Right Now
November 17th, 2009 at 7:42 am Posted byAs the world is gearing up for flu season, The Dean’s becoming more and more excited about his upcoming Swine Flu IPO.
United States health officials have reported that the 2009 flu season is expected to be the worse the country’s seen in 12 years. The Dean has done his homework and found that since April there have been over 3,900 flu deaths in the United States with 1,265, or 32%, of deaths caused by the H1N1 swine flu virus.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported nearly 18,000 hospitalizations between August and October linked directly to swine flu, with 29 of 50 states recording deaths caused by the H1N1 virus.
The Dean sees potential for swine flu stock picks like The Dean’s upcoming Swine Flu IPO because in September and October alone the number of people hospitalized for swine flu have outnumbered the average for an entire flu season.
The Obama Administration has declared swine flu a national emergency and has spent $2 billion for vaccines so far. The Dean thinks more government funding could continue being pumped into pharmaceutical companies because many sources have reported that there appears to be a vaccine shortage.
With several companies producing vaccines and the FDA recently approving a 5th vaccine, The Dean believes there’s plenty of reason for alternative treatments and products to gain popularity in the swine flu frenzy this winter.
