Dear Students

In an effort to bring the entire student body stock picks on the move and stock market winners of the day, here’s The Dean’s Honor Roll:

$ZVTK
If you were following The Dean around the holidays, you’d most certainly remember Zevotek, Inc. (OTC: ZVTK.OB). If you’re familiar, $ZVTK is a worldwide direct marketer and distributor of the Ionic Bulb. Although $ZVTK didn’t see any news today, the company released financial results for its fiscal second quarter ending December 31, 2009 on Monday. However, since December, The Dean has noticed a bunch of promoters touting this penny stock. Either way, $ZVTK made The Dean’s List today, gaining 69.57%.

$THRR
Thresher Industries, Inc. (OTC: THRR.PK) engages in the production and sale of conventional cast aluminum and reinforced metal matrix composite aluminum alloy components for various customers and applications in the United States. Yesterday, $THRR announced that the company received received the positive interim material testing analysis from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Material Sciences Department. Today, the company announced it has been supplying lighting components to Cooper Industries, Ltd. (NYSE: CBE). As a result, this sub-penny stock traded a massive 719,583,022 shares, more than 10 times its daily volume, and gained 66.67%.

$SHLO
Shiloh Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHLO) manufactures and sells first operation blanks, engineered welded blanks, complex stampings, and modular assemblies for the automotive, heavy truck, and other industrial markets in the United States. Yesterday morning, $SHLO announced Q1 2010 sales of $97.9 million, an increase of 55%. Today, $SHLO saw some action, trading 15 times its 3 month average volume and moving 15.05% into the green.

The Dean wanted to choose the next penny stock as today’s Dunce because it spent much of the day in red territory. However, the stock seemed to correct itself before close, as The Dean anticipated would’ve happened at a later date.

$GERS
Greenshift Corporation (OTC: GERS.OB) develops and commercializes clean technologies that facilitate the use of natural resources in the United States. Recently, $GERS announced that a Notice of Allowance was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for GreenShift’s third patent on its corn oil extraction technologies. This week, the company entered into an exclusive supply and cooperation agreement with Alternativa (IOM) Limited. Although this seemingly pitiful sub-penny fell as much 33.33% today, this stock has switched gears and could now be heading in the right direction.

Happy Trading, The Dean
