Honor Roll Stocks: $ZANE, $GBR and $TFCO

Here are The Dean’s Honor Roll Stocks of the Day:

$ZANE
Zanett, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZANE) and its subsidiaries provide customized IT solutions to corporations and mid-market companies in the United States. Thursday, $ZANE reported record contracts closed in the months of January and February 2010, totaling more than $12 million in new business. Friday, the company announced the successful completion of the 2010 HIMSS Healthcare Conference, which attracted over more than 27,500 healthcare experts. Today, StockPreacher.com announced an investment report featuring $ZANE and the stock went for a jog up 84.96% before closing 49.75% in green territory.

$GBR
New Concept Energy, Inc. (AMEX: GBR) engages in the acquisition and exploration of oil and gas properties in the United States. Although $GBR hasn’t seen news in months, the stock traded more than 13 times its average volume and closed the day up 39.47%.

$TFCO
Tufco Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: TFCO) provides integrated manufacturing services in the United States. The company’s services include wet and dry-wipe converting, wide web flexographic printing, hot melt adhesive laminating, folding, integrated downstream packaging, and quality and microbiological process management. No news out for $TFCO today but that didn’t stop the stock from trading up as much as 44.1%, before closing the day 28.77% in the green.

And let’s not forget about The Dean’s Dunce of the Day:

$WWON
Westwood One, Inc. (NASDAQ: WWON) provides programming, information services, and content to the radio, TV, and digital sectors in the United States. Last week, $WWON showed the market how the West was won, gaining as much as 69.37% on Friday but, today, the stock fell 23.71%.
