Honor Roll Stocks: $GEYI, $ASPN and $PFTI

$GEYI
Global Energy Inc. (OTC: GEYI.OB), a development stage company focusing on the production, renewable, alternative fuels and biofuels based on corn and other feedstocks, moved up as much as 400% before closing 233.33% in the green.
$ASPN
Applied NeuroSolutions, Inc. (OTC: ASPN.OB) is a development stage biopharmaceutical company focusing on the development of therapeutic targets for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease. Today, The Dean watched $ASPN rise 150% to $1.25, before closing at $0.90 for an 80% gain.
$PFTI
Puradyn Filter Technologies, Inc. (OTC: PFTI.OB) was recently put on The Dean’s radar because of a press release Monday morning reporting the company was joining StockProfile.com for a “market awareness program.” After shooting up 77% on low volume earlier in the day, $PFTI carried its momentum to close the day up 38.46%.
$MMQDE
Mega Media Group, Inc. (OTC: MMQDE.OB), an unsuccessful low power radio station who filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August, managed to gain 50% on volume of 680,258 shares.
$GWBC
Golden West Brewing, Inc. (OTC: GWBC.OB) has developed and marketed organic craft beers for more than a decade. Despite $GWBC‘s brewing facade, the company announced the possibility of a mining opportunity. Whatever the case may be, $GWBC also gained 50%—and that’s certainly good enough to make The Dean’s Honor Roll today.
And The Dean just wouldn’t be The Dean, if he didn’t point out a stock that fell flat on its face:
$TYRIA
Trey Resources, Inc. (OTC: TYRIA.OB) operates as a business consultant, and value-added reseller and developer of financial accounting software in the United States. The Dean thinks $TYRIA certainly could’ve tried a little harder, trading over 2.4 million shares but closing down 50% on the day.
