Dear Students

Here are The Dean’s Honor Roll Stocks of the Day:

$CNWI

Cardiac Network, Inc. (OTC: CNWI.PK) is a medical technology company, provides cardiac monitoring and diagnostic services to general practitioners and specialist physicians for the investigation of patients with abnormal cardiac rhythm and function. $CNWI didn’t release news today but the stock did trade 52 times its 3 month average volume, gaining more than 51% today.

As The Dean has taught his loyal Honors Students, one of the largest tell-tale signs of stock promotion (Barely Legal Secret to Success #4) is “a sudden increase in a stock’s daily trading volume.” The Dean admits that this is only speculation but $CNWI‘s company profile seems to match the teaser-description of a stock in an email from BestDamnPennyStocks.com last night, “I have found a company that makes a heart monitoring diagnostics device that will save lives!” And, based on stock promotion history, The Dean also knows that BestDamnPennyStocks.com previously promoted $CNWI in September 2009. Interesting.

$NBG
National Bank of Greece S.A. (NYSE: NBG) is involved in retail and commercial banking, global investment management, investment banking, insurance, investment activities, and securities trading operations. Yesterday, $NBG made The Wall Street Journal’s list of Biggest Price Decliners and, today, rebounded 24.56% on more than ten times its 3 month average volume. The Dean believes this bounce could have to do with a recent report that the European Union will help Greece manage its growing debt.

$ADCT
ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADCT) provides broadband communications network infrastructure products and related services worldwide. Late Monday, $ADCT reported first quarter earnings of $3.6 million, from a loss of $48.4 million year-over-year. As a result, $ADCT traded more than 10 million shares and gained 21.38% today.

And The Dean’s Dunce of the Day:

$SHKZ
Shaka Shoes, Inc. (OTC: SHKZ) focuses on the manufacture and distribution of casual shoes and sandals in Hawaii. Today, $SHKZ traded only 10,000 shares but managed to fall a shocking 76%. No shirts. No Shoes. No service. “Wacka. Wacka!”

Happy Trading, The Dean
