$CHK: Can You Dig it?

The Dean’s confident that many of his students have heard of $CHK, especially because the company prides itself as “America’s Champion of Natural Gas,” and who could blame them—they own properties in 23 states around the country.
In fact, $CHK is one of the largest producers of natural gas in the nation and the most active driller of wells in the United States. $CHK‘s holdings include properties on the “Big 6 Shale Plays,” including the Barnett, Marcellus, Fayetteville and Haynesville Shale regions.
Between $CHK‘s Q4 2009 loss and discussions about the company on Mad Money, this stock has definitely been the topic of discussion over the past week.
