Verifone Systems, Inc. (NYSE: PAY) designs, markets, and services electronic payment solutions that enable secure electronic payments among consumers, merchants, and financial institutions worldwide. After market close Tuesday, Verifone reported higher earnings for its fiscal third quarter on stronger revenue from its electronic payments processing technology. Adjusted earnings were $0.36 per share, with revenue increasing 24% to $261.5 million. Trading for a new 52-week high of $25.04 earlier this afternoon, PAY shares gained as much as 11.68% over Tuesday’s close.

Most recently, the Company reported revenues of $121,571,000 for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Flirting with $7 per share, AHC shares gained about 9% in trading today.

OneBeacon Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: OB) provides property and casualty insurance products and services in the United States. This morning, the Company’s Board of Directors declared a combined regular and special dividend of $2.71 per share payable in cash on September 7, 2010 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on August 31, 2010. OneBeacon will reportedly distribute $256 million through this dividend, which is comprised of a $2.50 special dividend and a $0.21 regular quarterly dividend. Gaining as much as 9.27%, OB shares traded as high as $15.44 today.

ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE: SOL) engages in the manufacture and sale of solar wafers and related products. On Friday, August 20, 2010, the Company announced the signing of two wafer supply agreements to provide two major Taiwan-listed solar companies with approximately 836 MW of monocrystalline and multicrystalline solar wafers. SOL shares gained approximately 8%, climbing to a high of $8.14.

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE: AEO) operates as an apparel and accessories retailer in the United States and Canada. Today, the retailer reported sales of $652 million for the second quarter ended July 31, 2010, an increase over $647 million in the same period last year. Net income decreased $0.05 per diluted share, from last year’s $0.14 per diluted share. Trading as high as $13.72 in early trading, AEO shares gained as much as 10% today.
