The Dean wants all of his students to check out these morning U.S. price gainers for Tuesday, August 24, 2010:

DTPI $12.44 +30.40%
Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, Inc. (NASDAQ: DTPI) offers skills in strategy, information technology, operations, and program management. It provides managing technology and business transformation, information management strategies, and compliance and risk management services, as well as assesses various technologies for financial services industry. This morning, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP announced a definitive merger agreement whereby PricewaterhouseCoopers will acquire all outstanding shares of the Company for $12.50 per share in cash, in a transaction reportedly worth $378 million. Trading more than 90 times its 10-day average volume, DTPI shares gained as much as 30.8% over its previous close of $9.54 per share.

BSDM $2.55 +23.79%
BSD Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: BSDM) develops, manufactures, markets, and services medical systems that deliver precision-focused radio frequency (RF) or microwave energy into diseased sites of the body, heating them to specified temperatures as required by a variety of medical therapies. Today, BSDM shares have gained as much as 29.61%, trading as high as $2.67, on volume exceeding its 10-day average volume of 4.2 million shares.

ZAGG $3.59 +15.81%
ZAGG Incorporated (NASDAQ: ZAGG) designs, manufactures, and distributes protective coverings, audio accessories, and power solutions for consumer electronic and hand-held devices, under the invisibleSHIELD, ZAGGaudio, and ZAGGskins brand names, primarily in the United States and Europe. Last week, the Company announced it would be presenting at the 2010 Southern California Investor Conference on Tuesday, August 17th. Today, ZAGG shares have gained more than 17%, trading as high as $3.65. Although the Company has not issued news since last week, this NASDAQ stock has traded more than five times its 10-day average volume today.

AZC $2.34 +13.04%
Augusta Resource Corporation (AMEX: AZC) engages in the acquisition, exploration, and development of natural mineral resource properties. The Company’s principal project involves the Rosemont property, a copper-molybdenum-silver deposit that covers approximately 15,000 acres in Pima County, Arizona. In trading this morning, AZC shares gained 18.35%, climbing as high as $2.45 per share.

IDI $1.92 +12.94%
SearchMedia Holdings Ltd. (AMEX: IDI) is one of China’s leading nationwide multi-platform media companies. Last week, the Company announced it anticipates revenues of $16 million with $2 million in net income for the second quarter of 2010. This morning, IDI shares have gained more than 22% on more than 1.5 times its 90-day average volume. IDI shares opened the day up about 4% over Monday’s close of $1.70, and moved to a high of $2.09 per share.
