Stocks Trading With A Low P/S Ratio: (IDT, IFLG, KEM, OTE, VG)

The Dean always loves a bargain, and sometimes it’s the stocks with a very low price/sales ratio that can take you to the head of the class, maybe even the Honors Class but only if you’re one of those sit-in-the-front-row students always paying attention.

IDT Corporation ( NYSE:IDT) holds interest in telecommunications and energy. The telecommunication comprises of wireless and land-line based phone services. In addition to providing natural gas and electricity, IDT holds an interest in American Shale Oil (AMSO). IDT’s stock value rose 33 cents (+2.1%) on July 12, 2010. The closing value of the shares was $16.35. IDT’s price to sales ratio is .28.

InfoLogix, Inc. (NASDAQ:IFLG) provides information technology solutions to a wide-range of industries. IFLG specializes in providing solutions to mobile units; this includes clients in the security, medical, and finance industries. IFLG traded at $6.17 at its close on July 12th 2010. This is an increase of $1.37 (+28.5%) from the previous day’s close. IFLG’s price to sales ratio is .28.

KEMET Corporation (AMEX:KEM) manufacturers components for electronic monitoring devices in many automobiles. This includes the audio systems, anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring systems, alarm systems, and airbags. On July 12th 2010, KEM closed at $2.64. This is an increase of 23 cents (+9.5%). KEM’s price to sales ratio is .29.

Hellenic Telecom Organization S.A. (NYSE:OTE) provides telecommunication systems and related services to many South-Eastern European countries including Albania, Romania, and Bulgaria. OTE’s price to sales ratio is .53. The stock dropped 2 cents (-.49%) on July 12th 2010. The new trading price is $4.04.

Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE:VG) operates within Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom providing voice and messaging services over broadband networks to small business offices and home offices. VG’s closed at $2.42 on July 9th 2010. During the opening day of the next week, July 12th 2010, the stock fell 3 cents (-1.2%); VG’s new trading price is $2.39. The price to sales ratio is .56.
