ESCC $0.70 +62.41%
Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (PINK: ESCC) offers image generators, domes, display systems, sound & lighting control systems and domed projection screens to theme parks, casinos, world expositions, museums, military defense contractors and schools. Despite a lack of company news, ESCC closed at $0.70, up 62.41% on 304,864 shares traded which is 27x its 90-day average daily volume.

MTLK $1.20 +43.68%
Metalink Ltd. (NASDAQ: MTLK) provides WLAN silicon solutions for telecommunications, networking, and home broadband equipment makers worldwide. Earlier today the company reported its first quarter 2010 results and as a result, MTLK closed at $1.02, up 43.68% on 70,156 shares traded which is 12x its 90-day average daily volume.

LDK $5.91 +9.85%
LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) provides photovoltaic (PV) products and is the world’s largest producer of multicrystalline wafers. Earlier today, LDK announced that the company has signed a contract to supply solar modules to Italy-based ABB SpA, a subsidiary of ABB Group. As a result, LDK closed at $5.91, up 9.85% on 3,746,427 shares traded.

ENER $4.64 +9.43%
Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENER) manufactures photovoltaic (PV) products including PV laminates. Despite a lack of company news, LDK closed at $4.64, up 9.855 on 2,479,945 shares traded which is 1.5x its 90-day average daily volume.

PWER $8.73 +9.12%
Power-One, Inc. (NASDAQ: PWER) sells power conversion and power management solutions that are meant to help businesses and individuals conserve energy. Earlier today, PWER announced that 2010 second quarter financial results and a live quarterly conference call will be held on July 29, 2010 at 2:00pm PST. As a result, PWER closed at $8.73, up 9.12% on 6,683,908 shares traded which is nearly 3x its 90-day average daily volume.
